JULY AIR theme "Stampotique"

Hi all

This month's second challenge is using "Stampotique" stamps, and am so excited for this assighment!

I've been a big fan of their unique designs especially the one using in this project.

Also, another challenge makes me so fluttered to using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers from Crafters Companion, and, yes, I love them so much!! Blending is so much easy, and color variations are pretty gorgeous.  Now I know need more sets ( I only have 4) , sure I'll have all colors very soon, LOL.  ( and they are inexpensive, isn't it great?)

Here my finished card.

JULY AIR - artist choice - 5 minutes card

This is the 3rd AIR project this month and decided to make super quick card.

A few days ago, I wanted make a set of note card as Thank you gift for my friend.
Since I didn't have much time, also I know my friends likes simple design, that notecards became so called "5 min card"

As a matter of fact, it even didn't take 5 min. once papers are prepared.

They are simple and neat, yet useful one, I beleve.

Supplies

  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink - Tangerine
  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink - Tuxedo Black
  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™
  • Stamp - medallion /Magenta, word - Hero Arts,
  • Pearl - Hero arts
  • White Card stock , Orange Card Stock

Stamp medallion image with Memento Tangerin

Stamp word with Memento Luxe Taxedo Black

Color edge with Memento Tangerine using sponge dauber

Assemble card, apply pearl to the center as finishing touch.

Key for simple card like this is color. Matching color of ink and paper is very effective.

July AIR - Brilliance Challenge

Hi

This month's first AIR project is "Brilliance Challenge"
It is water based fast drying pigment ink, can be stamped on any paper (including coated paper), leather, clay, wood, most of porous surface.

My project is Brilliance Resist-ish technique.
As I mentioned above, Brilliance is pigment ink still can be dried on coated paper.
However, ink will be reactivated with new layer of ink.  You'll see what this mean.

Here we go!

Supplies:
  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink (colors indicated below)
  • Rubber Stamps - Crafter's Companion
  • Stencil - Crafter's workshop
  • paper towel
  • card stocks (White Glossy paper, Printed Paper - Studio45, color card stocks)

DTP Sunflower  Yellow and Rocket Red

Add  Meditterean Blue at up right corner

Place stencil plate and color Rocket Red and Meditterean  Blue area

Wipe out part of stenciled inks - so that inked area turns  white-ish.

Add Sunflower Yellow between red area to blending colors.

Add  Coffee Bean to left bottom area.

Stamp cityscape with Coffee Bean

Wipe out stamped image - this will be highlights

Stamp again with Coffee Beans

Stamp same image with Graphite Black then wipe off. - this will be shadow.
Finally stamp the cityscape image with Coffee Beans. Stamp Bodice collage with Graphite Black.

Then Wipe off.  Again, inked area turns white-ish.

Stamp corners and borders with Graphite Black and  Moonlight White.

As you see, it is not quite "resist" but makes more transparant effect.  Key is using coated paper.
Enjoy.
